Nestling in the heart of the Alpilles, surrounded by olive groves, Mouriès is a truly authentic Provençal village. It makes the perfect base for discovering Provence - Les Baux de Provence, Maussane les Alpilles and St Rémy de Provence are close by. 'La Maison d'Alexandre' is a modern 3-bedroom villa in a peaceful location at the end of a short track. It is situated just 300m from the centre of the village in one direction and from the open countryside in the other.

The spacious 3-bedroom house, built in 2006, is well-equipped and tastefully decorated. It has a private garden and is just a five-minute stroll from the village shops which include several bakers, butchers, grocers, as well as amenities such as cafes, restaurants, banks and post office. Geographic setting and activities:

Mouriès is 12kms from Saint-Rémy de Provence, 6km from Les Baux de Provence, 5km from Maussane-les-Alpilles, 20km from Arles and Salon de Provence, 35kms from Avignon TGV station, and 40kms from Marseille airport. The Camargue, the Luberon, Avignon, Nimes, Pont du Gard and the Mediterranean are all within an hour's drive.

Typical Provencal markets: Mouriès (Wednesday), Saint Rémy de Provence (Wednesday), Maussane-les-Alpilles (Thursday) and Saint Martin de Crau (Friday).

The magnificent 18-hole Servanes golf course is 1.5km from the house and Les Baux golf course is 4km away. The village is an excellent base for walking or cycling in the Alpilles and for horse riding. Courses Camarguaises (Provençal bull-fighting competitions where the bulls are not harmed) take place regularly in the village bullring.
