A little bit of paradise in Provence’s Alpilles. ‘Le Petit Mas’ is a charming, recently renovated 19th-century cottage in the peaceful village of Le Paradou, ideally situated close to Les Baux de Provence and Maussane les Alpilles.

The 2-bedroom house, renovated winter 2008/9, has a private garden and is just a five-minute stroll from the village shops and amenities (bakery, general store, restaurants, post office, hairdresser, doctor, dentist). With footpaths into the Alpilles on the doorstep and numerous attractions nearby, it lies in the perfect location for a relaxing holiday.

  • Living room with large traditional fireplace, TV, DVD/video player, radio/CD player, Wi-Fi
  • Downstairs WC
  • Spacious kitchen diner with oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, toaster, coffee machine, kettle, well-stocked with crockery, cutlery and cooking equipment
  • French windows to large terrace and enclosed garden with trees

1st Floor:

  • 1 double bedroom with modern en suite shower room and WC
  • 1 bedroom with twin beds
  • Bedrooms have ceiling fans

Outdoor amenities:

  • Enclosed garden 120 m² with large terrace
  • Garden furniture, parasol, table, chairs, BBQ
  • Easy parking in front of the house

Geographic setting:

Le Paradou is 2km from Maussane-les-Alpilles and 4km from Les Baux de Provence; Arles 15km; Saint Rémy de Provence 12km. Mediterranean beaches, the Camargue, the Pont du Gard, Avignon and Nimes are all within an hour’s drive.

Available locally:

Bicycle hire, horse and pony trekking, outdoor public swimming pool (Maussane), tennis courts, golf courses. Typical Provencal markets: Saint Rémy de Provence (Wednesday), Maussane les Alpilles (Thursday) and Saint Martin de Crau (Friday).

Getting there:

Nearest airports: Nimes, Marseille, Avignon: car hire from each airport

By train: nearest station Arles (15km), then car hire or regular bus service, timetable available. Alternatively, TGV station at Avignon, then car hire (1 hour)
